In 2010, Jerry Stiller and Dave Kiff were contacted by Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Indiana. They asked if there was interest in bidding on the MK13 Mod 7 project to supply custom actions for the Mod 7 version of the MK13 300 Win Mag sniper platform. This was the first time the Navy considered using a custom action for this platform. Jerry and Dave decided to compete and ultimately won the very difficult competition. 

After supplying five TAC 300 actions pulled at random from inventory, the Navy determined that these Actions offered 100% parts interchangeability. For the first time in the history of the MK13, any part from any Stiller/Kiff rifle could be interchanged with the same part on a different rifle with no change in function or accuracy.

These actions are black nitride coated and subject to a specially developed, rigorous QC process that holds our already industry-leading tolerances to within a half thousandth of an inch.

Bolt Design: One piece fluted on top and sides, with a straight handle. Large knob with 5/16 x 24 thread.

Bolt Stop: On side of receiver opposite bolt handle above the stock line.

Bolt Throw: 90 degrees

Bolt Material: 4140

Bolt Coating: Proprietary double layer coating makes them as smooth as glass

Firing Pin: Fluted Stainless Steel, 0.067" diameter tip

Extractor/Ejector: Modified M16 type extractor, Rem 700 style pin ejector
