Proven two stage design with roots back to the 1980's.  The MOD 22 'MILSPEC' trigger is OEM on the Remington CSR and MSR sniper rifle systems.  The SMR was the winner of the USSOCOM PSR solicitation. This trigger was exhahstively tested at both Remington R&D and NSWC Crane. Samples from seperate lots were tested for sear wear and pull weight variation.  All withsthod in excess of 100,00 cycles with negligible sear wear and no more than 1/4 pound pull weight variation on trigger set.  The same triggers passed the USSOCOM 1.5 meter drop test in a rifle dropped horizontally onto a steel plate 12 times.
